Welcome to our Blog. We hope to use this forum as a public place for us to share information—about what we’re seeing, where we’re going, with whom we’re partnering, and, generally, information we think is useful. We hope to share information about our partners and some of the great work they’re doing, what we’re bringing to market at incredible value, photos of homes built and being built, and the like. We hope you find the content here useful.

All About Cape Cod Style Homes

Cape Cod style homes are among the most popular in the country, especially in the Northeast. The Cape Cod style is visually appealing while simultaneously making efficient use of space and floor plan layout.

Typical Cape Exterior

Cape homes are fully finished on the first floor, and come with a proposed second floor layout (which can be personalized to accommodate your needs), including the locations of doghouse and shed dormers, plumbing stubs, and egress locations. The second floor of a cape can be finished on-site, either at the time of construction or at a later time. Alternatively, Pleasant Valley offers the option to have the second floor finished at the factory, eliminating the inconvenience and additional inspections that must be performed if the second floor is being built-out on site.
