  • Job Position: Construction Trades-personnel

    Pleasant Valley Homes, Inc. is seeking construction tradespeople (framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, millwork, cabinetry, etc.) seeking to work in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility with regular working hours year-round.

    Job Classification:

    Full-Time (40 hour), Dayshift (6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), Year Round (with seasonal overtime); reports to departmental foreperson

    Key Responsibilities:

    Construction tradespeople will be engaged in general construction practices applicable to wood-frame construction, including, but not limited to, wood framing, plumbing, electrical and mechanical installations, drywall finishing and painting, cabinetry, millwork, flooring, siding, stone/brick installation and finish treatments. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in a home manufacturing environment, but relevant, specific experience in new home construction is helpful too. 

    DAILY DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Learn, master and perform -- at a high level -- procedures for construction/installation of applicable items;

    Work closely with and gain a clear functional understanding of construction equipment;

    Work within company-established safety standards;

    Work in a team environment and be able to meet production goals

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Strong experience and ability in a construction trade is preferred, but we will train appropriate candidates.

    Ability to get to work on time and keep a production schedule;

    Must have reliable transportation and a driver's license;

    Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds repeatedly during an 8-9 hour shift;

    Ability to multi-task and reduce down-time to an absolute minimum

  • Job Summary:

    We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong background in manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of equipment maintenance and repair, as well as a proactive approach to prevent and resolve technical issues. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines and facilities, maximizing uptime, and minimizing downtime.

    Responsibilities:

    Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment in accordance with maintenance schedules and guidelines.

    Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

    Conduct regular inspections to identify potential equipment malfunctions and implement corrective measures promptly.

    Collaborate with production teams to understand maintenance requirements and prioritize tasks accordingly.

    Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and parts used.

    Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs or replacement of equipment parts.

    Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and safety.

    Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred.

    Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of [number] years of experience.

    In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques.

    Proficient in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.

    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

    Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.

    Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.

    Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Residential CAD Drafter to join our dynamic team. As a CAD Drafter, you will play a vital role in creating accurate and comprehensive sales-support and construction plans and drawings for our modular homes.

    Responsibilities:

    - Utilize CAD software to create detailed architectural drawings and blueprints for residential modular homes.

    - Collaborate with sales personnel and contracted consulting engineers to interpret design specifications and incorporate necessary modifications.

    - Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other applicable industry standards.

    - Review and revise existing drawings based on client feedback or project requirements.

    - Maintain an organized database of drawings and related documentation for easy reference and retrieval.

    - Coordinate with the production team to address any design or construction-related issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.

    - Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in residential construction and modular home design.

    Requirements:

    - Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD or similar programs) with a strong understanding of architectural drafting principles.

    - Experience in residential drafting, preferably within the modular home or construction industry.

    - Solid knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant standards.

    - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.

    - Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

    - Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

    - A degree or diploma in architecture, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
